About Christina

Christina Miller, founder of Thrive Ayurveda, holds a Master’s Degree in South Asian Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. Her Master’s program included in-depth study of Ayurveda from a theoretical and historical perspective, and the study of Sanskrit in order to allow her to study straight from the original Ayurvedic texts. Christina’s passion for holistic health began at an early age with her realization of direct connection between the foods she ate, and how she felt both mentally and physically.

Christina graduated from the Narayana Ayurveda & Yoga Academy in 2017 as an Ayurvedic Practitioner. She seeks to help guide clients to their innate, natural state of health and well-being, using the time-tested and proven techniques of Ayurveda and yoga therapy.

How Does a Remote Consultation Work?

Many people like to schedule an Ayurvedic session with a particular health concern in mind, whether it is a skin condition, hormonal issue, mental-health concern such as anxiety, migraines, allergies, food sensitivities, or a myriad of other things.

Ayurveda is also beneficial for supporting immune health, improving general health and well-being, and meeting you where you are on your health journey to support the goals you have.

Your initial Ayurvedic consultation by phone will last about an hour, and during that session I will:

  • Discuss specific health concerns and how to address them with Ayurveda.

  • Determine and discuss your Ayurvedic dosha (mind-body type), through my detailed questionnaires and through analysis of things like your energy levels, physical and emotional traits, temperament, etc.

  • Assess your digestion, energy levels, dominant personality traits, physiology, skin and hair type in order to identify patterns between physical and mental tendencies.

  • Evaluate your current diet and lifestyle.

  • Provide you with a specific, individualized and personal protocol designed to help balance the body and address any specific health concerns you have.

  • After the appointment, you will receive a document with all of the information we discussed, including:

    • Your individual dosha and what this means

    • Specific herbs recommended for you

    • Daily routine instructions to help balance the body and digestion

    • Recipes

    • Sample meal plan for your individual constitution
